So I thought I would have a new cookie to share with you tonight, but it was a flop. It probably flopped because I got cocky and wrote up my entire post, complete with philosophical musings on why I can’t seem to sleep on the same schedule as the rest of the world. I even typed the recipe.
That’ll teach me.
I have had terrible luck with the Better Homes & Gardens Ultimate Cookie Book. Anyone out there love this book or have any recommendations from it?
Anyway, I do have an award to pass on though. Thatgirl, over at Paved With Good Intentions (whose blog keeps me laughing and whose recipes, particularly her baked goods, make me hungry) has passed on to me the Yum Yum blog award.
I am passing this award on to:
Big Red Kitchen (pretty much for her Dulce de Leche pie alone 😉 )
A Cracking Good Egg (Her desserts are amazing; I first bookmarked her blog for the cupcake recipes)
Wild Yeast (because I wish I could shape my bread as well as she does and because her panettone had my entire family convinced I had become an old world Italian baker)
Lisa’s Kitchen (Her blog makes me forget I love meat)
Eggs On Sunday (because almost everything she has on there I want to eat)

Big congratulations on the award and thank you so much for passing it on to me! I’m off to check out some of my fellow recipents’ blogs. Sorry the cookies flopped — don’t you hate that?

Congrats on the award, and thank you so much for sending it along to me! I hate when you have high hopes for recipes and they don’t live up to expectations…here’s hoping the next one you make is a winner. 🙂

hooh thank you for the award. I’ve never gotten an award before. Lovely!! I will have to make some more cupcakes now. I don’t think I’ve posted any for ages.
