This Seared Mahi Mahi With Green Gazpacho Sauce from The Global Kitchen is another one that might be made by the time I post this. It looks simple and delicious, and it allows me to play some more with the frozen fish (remember I live in the rural midwest, no judging the frozen fish, y’all) I got at Costco.

Homesick Texan‘s beautiful post about her grandma passing made me cry, but it did not stop me from getting to the end and copying down the recipe for Hatch Chile Potato Casserole. Luscious, creamy, rich but tangy with chiles, I can just taste it now….

I am on a roll–3 savory recipes! I think these Morrocan Spiced Lamb Meatballs with Lemon Mint Yogurt Sauce over at Culinary Adventures of a New Wife look absolutely delish.

OK, here’s the dessert you were all waiting for. You probably need no introduction to use real butter, maybe you even already saw this cake, but in case you did not, check out her Blueberry Lime Pound Cake. And if you are in my playgroup, well, I hope you like lime and blueberries because I am hoping to make this cake soon. Swoon-worthy.

Oooh these all look so good! I am going to have to copycat you and bookmark the blueberry lime pound cake. I have some blueberries in my freezer that I need to use!

Hi! I’m Laura and I am a recovering history major who has re-channeled all of my passion for learning about the history of different countries to learning about their food culture. That doesn’t mean every dish on here is strictly authentic, but it does mean that even my adaptations are not undertaken lightly. My goal is to show you–by doing–that these dishes are possible in your kitchen. Including desserts because I have quite the sweet tooth! Read More…
