Another recipe from The Recipe Girl, these Chicken Breasts with Pumpkin Seed Pesto and Butternut Squash Sauce look absolutely fantastic. I love pumpkin seeds, and should use them more often–hopefully this recipe will inspire me too!

Thanks to my Twitter buddy Ilyses, I discovered these Apple Cider Doughnuts over at Smitten Kitchen. They look very, very dangerous. I don’t know if I can reconcile myself to frying in shortening (anyone think lard would work instead?) but I might have to find out…

OK this Vanilla Cider Pork with Pears & Walnut Wild Rice over at Noble Pig made me want to lick my computer screen. Seriously.

Sometimes you see an idea and it is so simple and so obviously brilliant you cannot imagine why you did not think of it. Well for whatever reason I did not, but with my newfound love of Snickdoodles, and my always-there love of pumpkin, these Pumpkin Snickerdoodles by dlyn are at the top of my to try list!

Hey everyone, I want to remind you that November’s Family Recipes is being hosted by The Life & Loves of Grumpy’s HoneyBunch. Submissions are due by November 30!

Hi! I’m Laura and I am a recovering history major who has re-channeled all of my passion for learning about the history of different countries to learning about their food culture. That doesn’t mean every dish on here is strictly authentic, but it does mean that even my adaptations are not undertaken lightly. My goal is to show you–by doing–that these dishes are possible in your kitchen. Including desserts because I have quite the sweet tooth! Read More…
