HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Just a quick post to say Happy Halloween, everybody! We painted cookies with some friends–perhaps because of the chaos of 3 2 year olds and 1 3 year old I cannot really say they came out as lovely as my Sunflower Harvest Cookies, but that’s ok. We had a great time. And trick or treat went off swimmingly as well. We are headed out of town for a few days and will see you back next week!

Alex and Sam were, respectively, a monkey and a duck. Alex re-used her costume from last Halloween. I bet you anything she will be devastated to realized she will grow out of the costume by next year.

Hi! I’m Laura and I am a recovering history major who has re-channeled all of my passion for learning about the history of different countries to learning about their food culture. That doesn’t mean every dish on here is strictly authentic, but it does mean that even my adaptations are not undertaken lightly. My goal is to show you–by doing–that these dishes are possible in your kitchen. Including desserts because I have quite the sweet tooth! Read More…
